The house has two reception rooms, a shower room, study and kitchen downstairs and three bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. There is a small but beautifully landscaped garden and a drive. Friendly neighbourhood and doting Siamese cat! This is a comfortable and welcoming house that we have been modernising- 2 new bathrooms and a new kitchen already fitted.

Colchester is Britain's oldest recorded town with Roman history, a Norman castle, a modern zoo, a theatre, new art gallery, cinema and attractive shops, cafes and bars, 15 minutes walk from the house or a short bus or bike ride.

It is on the edge of beautiful East Anglian countryside- 'Constable country' and a short drive to Suffolk and Norfolk. Seaside resorts are 15 miles away.
Many people in Colchester commute to London to work as the capital is just 50 minutes by train from Colchester North station.
Maldon Road is a friendly and sought after location popular with professionals. There is a convenience store 2 minutes away.

About Us

We are both teachers and have house swapped some years ago. Tim is 44 and works in a local comprehensive (11-18 years) and Helen is 45 and works in a local private school. Our children are Jake, 13, and Alice, 11.
We moved here 5 years ago and love the area.

More about us

Previously we have lived in areas as diverse as Japan, Yorkshire and London but chose to come back to this part of the country to settle and educate our children here as we both love it so much.
The house is comfortable and homely. The location is excellent and we have no plans to move away from such a nice area.
