Our Home

The house is in the northwest corner of Connecticut - just 15 minutes from the Berkshires and an easy, direct train ride to New York City (2 1/2 hours). Boston is also 2 1/2 hours. The house gets lots of natural light and is on a large amount of land with no neighbors.

There are four bedrooms (3 with queen size beds, 1 with a twin bed) and two extra twin beds in the finished attic, so it could sleep 9 easily.

We’d love a longer exchange anywhere in France, or some other country in Europe. Our work schedules are flexible so try us!

The house here is in a great location, 20 minutes from ski slopes, lots of boutique stores in great Barrington, MA which is just up the road. It’s a gastronomic paradise around here with lots of farm to table restaurants and beautiful specialty food stores a short drive away. There are golf courses, beautiful hikes, kayaking (you can use our two), boating on the pristine lakes nearby,


Our Neighbourhood Beach

No immediate neighbors. It’s located on a main road (which is noted for its beautiful views) so its easy to find and easy to travel to nearby towns and villages. There’s a lovely town pool up on a hilltop just two miles away ($5/day for a guest pass).

About Us

We run a small farm here on the property, so sometimes here are chickens, ducks, pigs, and cows on site. Patrick works for a large company that works on energy use reduction and Lara is a former helicopter pilot turned farm manager. We have two children, ages 9 and 12, that we love to travel with.

More about us

We’ve spent extensive time and France and would love to go back for another long (3 month or more) stay, but shorter trips are great too. We’re open to traveling anywhere so please get in touch!
