The home is situated in Onanole, in rural Manitoba, beside Riding Mountain National Park, in Canada. The house is very private as it sits upon a hill, surrounded on three sides by trees and looks out over fields where a few ponies and horses reside. It is a two bedroom home with two bathrooms.
Roomy living room with a fireplace and rumpus room with a wood stove. The kitchen is spacious and the dining area sits 6. Also have a Washer & dryer. The house has a deck and a patio with a hammock, hammock chairs and a tire swing. There are also perennial gardens in the front and the back of the home. We also have 2 bikes, 2 kayaks, 2 tents, camping equipment and a canoe available for use during your visit.
Only a 5 minute drive to the Park to enjoy the resort town of Wasagaming where you can check out trendy shops, fabulous food, entertainment and the beach, where you can swim, rent a boat or fish. Outside of the town site are plenty of trails for hikes, biking or picnics.
There is always a chance that you may see Bison, Black Bears, Wolves, Elk, Moose and Deer or any number of other critters during your stay. The local neighborhood consists of other cottage owners, a very quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
I am Sherry, a teacher/librarian during the school year from Sept-June. My husband,Tim, works for the Park as a Wildlife Biologist and my daughter, Josie, also works for the Park in the Campground during the summers. She is 15 years old and about to start Grade 11 in High School. She is passionate about horses and curling.
My husband and I are in our mid-50s. I enjoy gardening and books, of course.
