More about this property

Comfort, convenience and charm - and first-class connections for exploring Queensland's Sunshine Coast!

Our Neighbourhood

Buderim is a unique character village situated on top of Buderim Mountain, which is really a pleasant hill with many easily accessible roadways with scenic views of leafy forests and coastal beaches.

More about the neighbourhood

The village itself is a thriving community with many restaurants, art galleries, parks and cultural events, all of which may be discovered by visiting its information centre in the main street.

There are lovely walks, clothing boutiques and gift stores, banks, supermarkets, travel agents, medical services and reliable bus services connecting with all the Sunshine Coast beaches and hinterland.

Maroochydore has the largest shopping complex on the Sunshine Coast and is only a short trip by car or bus down the hill from Buderim.

Golf courses, water sports, Australia Zoo, iconic Noosa and surfing beaches are all accessible by car, or by using public transport connections from Maroochydore.

There are also connections for day trips to Brisbane by train from Nambour (a town twenty minutes by bus from Buderim), or by coach from Maroochydore.

About Us

We are Wilhelm (Bill) and Pauleen, retired Australian teachers, in our late sixties and early seventies.

Bill and I have been happily married for almost fifty years and have five grown-up children, all successful professionals, and of whom we are very proud.

More about us

We have been privileged to house sit and home exchange in many countries and enjoy learning about localities by living in their community, which is the wonderful attribute of a home exchange.

Although we are both Australian nationals, Pauleen is of Irish ancestry and Bill was born in Austria.

Pauleen's interests are in music and the Arts. She has an extensive interest in early childhood literacy and has had her books on literacy and numeracy activities published worldwide for the past ten years. She has also published her first historical fiction novel.

Bill enjoys building projects, creating beautiful gardens around our home, and playing a strategic game of bridge.

We both have clean drivers' licences and like to explore around the area in which our home exchange is situated, if a car exchange is available.
