Our Home

We have converted our family home into a comfortable, spacious cottage, and my wife, my sons and I are happy to share it with you, welcoming you with your children for a weekend, or for a longer, quiet and comfortable holiday.

Our family home of nearly 200 m2 is situated in a hamlet in the countryside, 45 km from Paris.

It is fully restored, and located in the middle of an enclosed garden of 3500 m2.Â

My parents acquired it in 1961, and now three generations of my family have fond childhood memories of it.

Over the years the house has been enriched by many pieces of furniture and objects that can be traced back several centuries, and there are a lot of books all around the house, and they all give a special charm to our home.

The house dates from the late 18th century. It was once a peasant dwelling, and later owned by a timber merchant and a doctor before being acquired by the Landau family.

The village of Belle-à‰glise, which is part of the Montagny-Prouvaire district, dates from 12th Century. It is a small village which is very rural and comprises various hamlets (Landrimont, Gandicourt, etc), providing plenty of lovely walks through the surrounding woodland and countryside.

The local region is rich in landscapes, villages, castles and forests.


Our Neighbourhood

The house is 45 km from the centre of Paris (45 minutes by train).

It is close to the Château of Chantilly, Beauvais Cathedral, and Auvers-sur-Oise (Van Gogh's village).

About Us

I am a former filmmaker and telecom engineer.

I am now doing volunteer work for the press, and for economic research projects.

My wife is a former actress, and organizes shows for the elderly in the city of Paris.
