Historic House From The Eighteen Hundreds
View all photos View map
Our home has been family owned since it was built in the 1800s by my great great-grandfather, and when we remodelled it, we kept as closely to the original as possible.
We have a picture of our great great-grandfather over the mantelpiece, so that everyone can see the original owner.
Being set back from the street and looking down on the village adds to the character of the tall, yellow house.
You will love the uniqueness of our back yard which is large and shady, and leads down to a cave which once supplied cold storage and water for the house.
The back yard is a wonderful place to sit and relax, and if you are lucky you may see some of the wildlife: deer, rabbits and birds.
We live in a rural village with a beautiful bluegrass, hilly setting.
I love to read, work with exchange students, travel, and meet new people.
I have travelled all over the world, and lived in Germany for a year and a half.
I am a retired school teacher, and my husband is a farmer.
We have lived in this community most of our lives.
We have two grown-up sons that we see often.
We live on the farm with our two dogs, two cats, and lots of horses.
