Our Home

Spacious villa, set in a delightful sunny garden with a beautiful tower in classical Florentine style.

The sculptor Marguerite Syamour lived in this house a hundred years ago, and we have renovated it in a manner sympathetic to its artistic history.

Châtelneuf is a typical village of the area, with plenty of shops and everything else you need.

This is the Lake District of Jura, a wonderful country for cycling.

There is a cheese factory six kilometres away; there are several lovely wine cellars within half an hour's drive; the international metropolis of Geneva is just an hour away; and Lyon, the gastronomic capital of France, is two hours away.

About Us

We are a couple in our early fifties.

We have three children, two of whom live abroad, the oldest one in Canada, and the second one in Belgium.

We like spend time outdoors, walking or cycling or skiing, enjoying the scenery and meeting nice and interesting people.

More about us

One of us works in education, and the other in the national health system.

So far, we have travelled to France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Portugal, Turkey, Switzerland, Germany, Greece, and Belgium.

We love art, including works on a grand scale, such as the Niki de Saint Phalle's Tarot Garden in Tuscany, or Gaudà­'s Guell Park in Barcelona.

The Jura region is where we live and work! All we love is around us! In the winter we put on our skis, and in the summer we go swimming in magical places!
