Charming Duplex In Madrid

Our Home

Our duplex is super charming and bright: it has a south-west location, which is the best for getting a lot of natural light, and it is pleasantly breezy in the summer.

Downstairs is the living space: a well-stocked kitchen (we love cooking) with a dining nook, a great living room with a full dining table and a very comfortable couch and a wide-screen TV, our master bedroom with en-suite facilities, a bedroom for the children, and a bathroom with double washbasins.

There is also a great terrace, around twenty square metres, with plenty of plants.

Upstairs there is the working area, and also a chill-out space that we use for reading and relaxing.

The pictures do not make justice to the charm of the place (we took them before hopping on the plane), but the apartment really is beautiful and bright and has very good vibes.

Also, there are a lot of green spaces, and a swimming pool within the complex, as well as a twenty-four-hour doorman.


Our Neighbourhood

Our house is located in the Imperial neighbourhood, five minutes' walk from both the city centre (with the La Latina market, the Lavapiés neighbourhood, the El Rastro flea market and the Puerta del Sol) and the relaxing Manzanares river.

More about the neighbourhood

It is truly the gem of Madrid's central neighbourhoods since it is within walking distance of everything, but still super calm.

There are plenty of restaurants around, as well as public transport options, from city-bikes to metro, train and bus lines - and there is plenty of parking!


About Us

We are couple in our mid-thirties, a writer and a film maker.

We love Madrid as much as we love travelling, summer nights on the terrace, and cooking.
