Cosy And Comfortable Small Cottage In Picardy
Our Home
My small cottage is the opposite of urban chic! Just cosy and comfortable, situated only ten minutes' drive from the centre of Amiens.
There is one ground floor bedroom, a living/dining room, a separate kitchen, a small bathroom and a little back garden.
Off road parking in front of the house.
The house is very light and pleasant to live in, and ideal for a couple.
Our Neighbourhood
Amiens is ideally situated for visiting the World War One battlefields.
Lovers of architecture will appreciate the wonderful Gothic cathedral, and there is still a lot more to see in the region.
Paris is accessible by train, as well as Lille, and from there London, Brussels and Amsterdam.
The village itself is quiet, with nice walks in fields and woods.
About Us
I have recently stopped working. I was a teacher of English (as a foreign language) to French business school students and engineering students.
I am now living in my holiday home in south west France.
I have a daughter in Melbourne, and that is why I am looking for a house swap in Australia.
We plan to travel to Australia in November 2016, however my house in Saveuse is only available in the summer months, as it is rented out to students in term time.
I can also offer to exchange my home in south west France any time apart from August 2016.
I would like to find a small apartment or house not too far from Melbourne (Mornington Peninsula, Great Ocean Walk, etc) for two to four weeks.
