Just thirty minutes by metro from the centre of Paris, Montreuil has a reputation for attracting artists and those who want a multicultural atmosphere. It's oftenÂconsidered to be Paris' twenty-first arrondissement.

Our building, which is located in the Rue de la Revolution (which one?), was built in the 1920s and echoes the town's working class and turbulent past.

Many of its factories have been converted into artists' studios and loft apartments, giving it a new energy.Â

Our apartment has grown and changed with our family. Two bedrooms are now three, but there is still a large living space.

The apartment is bright at all times of the day. One side has a garden view; the other overlooks a quiet road.

Our cosy apartment is also home to ourÂeighteen-year-old cat, who will be here to welcome you.


Our Neighbourhood

Montreuil has three large parks, the nearest of which is the Parc des Guillands, which hasÂan impressive view of Paris - but the steps up to the park mean you have to earn the view!

Otherwise the Bois de Vincennes is fifteen minutes' bike ride away.

More about the neighbourhood

We have three bikes which you can borrow to visit the twelfth century castle or picnic in the woods.

There is a fifty metre public swimming poolÂjust five minutes' walk from our home,Âwith a learner pool, a baby pool, diving boards, a slide, and an outside sunbathing space.

For cinema lovers, Montreuil has Europe's largest art house cinema.

We're a family of four: two adults and two girls aged seventeen and fifteen.

We're a bilingual family who all love travelling.

We are used to staying with friends, or in friends' houses.

We are considerate and adaptable - luxury or simplicity!
