Our Home

We are the happy owners of a nice house two minutes from the Provençal village of Valbonne. The closest towns are Cannes, Grasse (with its famous perfumes) and Antibes. All three towns are ten minutes' drive away. We are located fifteen to twenty minutes from Nice airport and the centre of Nice.

Our house is about 130 m2, with three bedrooms and a study/TV room that comfortably sleeps two.

On the ground floor there is an open-plan kitchen and a living room with Chesterfield sofas, a fire place and lots of reading material, leading to a deck and a mature south facing garden, perfect for family meals, entertaining, or just chilling out.

Upstairs are the three bedrooms. The master bedroom has fine views of the garden and has an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and a power shower.

The other bedrooms are single: one with a 140 cm bed that sleeps two people (this our 11-year-old daghter's room) and the other room is quite small; it is our six-year-old son's room. It would be perfect for a young child or a baby.

On the first floor there is also another little bathroom with a shower.

There is also a bright study with high ceilings. It sleeps two and has a big television and WiFi.

The garden has a brand new barbecue, a "salon d'été", a trampoline, and lots of toys for kids.

Our Neighbourhood GolfBeach

Our house is located in an area of great natural beauty. It is situated outside the picturesque Provençal village of Valbonne and about ten kilometres from Cannes, Antibes and Grasse. Cannes is famous for its Festival (in June) and la Croisette (a beautiful long promenade along the sea), and it is a shopping haven.

There is an exciting and diverse day and night life in Cannes, with lots of fine restaurants. Grasse is "la capitale du parfum"

Our house overlooks a beautiful protected forest, in the heart of the Sophia Antipolis technology park. Our area is a paradise for golf lovers: we are surrounded by numerous golf courses, and the closest one is exactly twenty metres away! The bathroom window of the master bedroom overlooks the start of the hole number 5 of the Victoria Golf Club course. In the summer, when the window remains open, we can hear the very first "bing" of a driver at 8 am!

Don't miss the beautiful little islands off Cannes: àŽle Sainte-Marguerite and àŽle Saint-Honorat! There is a ferry that brings you there from Cannes in about ten minutes. We have spent some fabulous days there, picnicking and swimming in the sea.

The city of Nice, with "La Promenade des Anglais", the famous hotel "le Negresco", cinemas, theatres, museums and shopping, is about thirty kilometres away. If hiking in the mountains is your passion, then the Alps are less than an hour away, with great opportunities for walking, and lovely picnic spots.

This is the perfect spot for a relaxing (or active) holiday. In fact, this would be our perfect holiday destination if we didn't live here all year round!
