Our Home
Recently completed barn conversion on ground level.
Two double bedrooms (where one with en-suite facilities), and one bedroom with two single beds.
Additional family bathroom.
Large farmhouse-style kitchen with electric AGA, electric double oven and gas hob, American fridge-freezer, and dishwasher.
Large lounge and dining area on two levels, with open fireplace.
Under-floor heating throughout with air source heat pump heating.
Beautiful walled garden.
Our Neighbourhood
Set in the village of Chitterne, just fifteen minutes' drive from Warminster, ten minutes from Stonehenge, and just twenty minutes from the beautiful cathedral city of Salisbury.
The A303 gives excellent access to London, and Bath is just forty kilometres to the west.
Step through our garden gate and you are on Salisbury Plain, with many stretches of wonderful walking to enjoy.
Chitterne is a thriving, friendly community with its own pub, village hall and church. It is also well placed to explore further afield to the south coast, the Cotswolds, and the rural delights of Somerset Devon and Cornwall.
About Us
I am a retired farmer, and my wife is a retired teacher and magistrate.
We have two children, who have long flown the nest.
We also have a house in the Pays Basque (South West France) which will also be available when I find out how to add it! We built this house in 2003, and it has similar amenities to our UK home.
