A perfect base camp for a couple or small family who loves the outdoors and would enjoy our beautiful culturally diverse city situated on a hundred and twenty mile freshwater lake.
Non-smoking household with simple, tasteful furnishings.

Also a guest room with a double futon couch and TV.
A kitchen sunroom and deck overlook a shady backyard.
Burlington is a small, progressive city with great spirit and abundant cultural offerings.
The thriving downtown is full of unique shops, art galleries, live music, and many restaurants.
There are several major downhill skiing areas with ninety minutes' drive.
Other options: Cross country skiing, boating, kayaking, a famous paved bike trail along the shore of Lake Champlain (5 minutes' bike ride down hill), hiking in the Green Mountains, Vermont City Marathon, and mountain biking.
We are Larry and Peggy, a married couple with grown-up children.
We are mid-career professionals (a teacher and a program planner), who enjoy active travelling (riding bicycles, hiking, paddling etc).
We travel often to Quebec now, but have also visited many western US states and camp frequently in Vermont at state parks, and in other parts of New England. In summer 2016, we did an active tour around Scotland.
We are considerate and responsible guests, and we don't smoke.
We live with a cat, and are comfortable in homes with pets.
We love Indian and Thai food, jazz and folk music, foreign films, and talking with people from different backgrounds when we travel.
As members of US Servas we have hosted other travelers for many years, and we enjoy introducing others to wonderful Burlington.
