Three-Bedroom House In Reading, England
Our house is in a quiet residential street.
Right outside the house there is a bus stop, so it is easy to get into town.
The house has an open-plan kitchen/dining room, a living room, three bedrooms, and a bathroom.
There is also an office, but this will be locked for reasons of privacy.
We grow some vegetables in the garden, and you are very welcome to help yourself to these, if you are here when they are in season.
We live on the outskirts of Reading, about four miles from the town centre.
There are trains from Reading to many important cities. London is twenty to thirty minutes away by train, and Oxford is the same.
Reading lies between two rivers: the Thames and the Kennet.
In the summer there are regular boat trips on the River Thames, enabling you to see some of the surrounding nature and historic houses.
There are also canoes for hire.
There are some lovely parks and relaxing walks too along the Thames.
A few miles from our house is Beale Wildlife Park and Gardens, and also Basildon Park, an eighteenth-century stately home where many period films have been shot.
I am Gulgun, an interpreter working for the police, courts and immigration.
My origin is Turkish.
My husband is Stan, a retired photographer.
We have a twelve-year-old son called Thomas.
We usually go to Turkey every summer to see my family, but we would like to go to some other places too for our holidays.
want to break our holidays with some other places.
