Our Home

Traditional house in the mountains, built in 2006.

Three bedrooms, sleeping up to five people.

Peaceful, shady grounds of 1,800 m2, with a swing and a sandbox.

We have a small car (Renault Clio) which you would be welcome to use, and there are also two adult-size bikes, and child-size bikes too.

Our Neighbourhood

We live in the village of Veynes (1,200 inhabitants), fifteen kilometres from the city of Gap.

There is a lake nearby which is nice for swimming in the summer.

Our house has mountain views (Pic de Bure 2,700 metres, and Montagne de Céà¼se), and the Dévoluy massif is twenty minutes drive away.

More about the neighbourhood

In the village there are two bakeries, an excellent butcher, a medical centre, a pharmacy, a newsagent, a greengrocer, a hairdresser, two restaurants, and two pony clubs.

This region is ideal for rock climbing, via ferrata, hiking, cycling and horse riding, and you can go swimming ten minutes drive away.

A bit further away, Lake Serre-Ponçon offers sailing and waterskiing.

Briançon (with its upper town, Cité Vauban), the highest town in Europe, and the Queyras massif are less than a hundred kilometres away.

Marseille and the Mediterranean are two hours away by motorway.


About Us

Sophie is a primary school teacher, and Anthony is a math teacher.

We have two girls aged seventeen and fifteen, and a nine years-old boy.

After Reunion Island in 2011 and Canada in 2013, we will travel to CALIFORNIA in summer 2016

We would like to exchange our home with people in CALIFORNIA. We will land on 19.

More about us

07.2016 in LOS ANGELES and take off from SAN FRANCISCO on 17.08.2016. Between these two cities, we plan to visit several national parks (Grand Canyon, Yosemite,)
