Comfortable top-floor three-bedroom apartment, recently fully renovated, located in the central neighbourhood of San Giovanni, overlooking the roofs of the city centre.

The apartment is situated on the eight floor, with a lift.

There is a small hallway with a cosy stairway leading to the sitting room, which has a sofa, a TV set, a bookshelf, and a dining table table for eight.

The kitchen is bright, with two windows, and well ventilated. It is well appointed and fully equipped. The sinks, the cooker, the oven and the work surfaces are ample and suitable, and there is also a dishwasher, a fridge and a microwave.

The kitchen also has a dining table and four chairs. There are many cupboards with cooking utensils and cutlery, and there is also a separate storage room.

The master bedroom has a double bed, an ample wardrobe and a chest. There is also an en-suite bathroom which is small but fancy, with a washbasin, a comfortable shower, a bidet and a toilet.

The second bedroom (children's room) has a bunk bed, an ample desk with two chairs, a small wardrobe and a couple of chests.

The third bedroom (guest bedroom) has a large wardrobe, a double sofa bed, a bookcase and several chests.

These two bedrooms share a bathroom with a window. This bathroom has a washbasin, a bathtub, a bidet, a toilet, and a washing machine.

Our Neighbourhood

The apartment is located in the heart of the popular, central neighbourhood of San Giovanni.

The district of San Giovanni, located in the heart of the city, is one of Rome's most popular districts, where the Lateran Palace and the Basilica of St. John Lateran (Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano) both take centre stage.

The beautiful Basilica of St. John Lateran is the oldest of the four Papal Basilicas or major basilicas of Rome.

The spacious square in front of the Basilica hosts several open-air concerts and public events throughout the year.

Adjacent to the Basilica is the Scala Santa (Holy Stairs), the twenty-eight steps traditionally identified as those climbed by Jesus in Pontius Pilate's palace in Jerusalem. They lead up to the Sancta Sanctorum (or Chapel of San Lorenzo) where some of Christianity's most treasured relics are preserved.

The district of San Giovanni also has one of the best known shopping streets in the city, the Via Appia Nuova, as well as a lively clothes market which is open every morning except Sundays, in Via Sannio, where some real bargains can be found!

The historic centre of the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Rome has an immensely rich historic heritage and a cosmopolitan atmosphere, making it one of Europe's and the world's most visited, famous, influential and beautiful capitals. Rome also has a lively nightlife, and is also a shopping heaven, and is regarded as one of the fashion capitals of the world.

In Rome you can usually count on good weather, and the best way to see the city is to walk.

Most main attractions, such as the Colosseum, Piazza di Spagna and the Imperial Fora, are located about half-an-hour's walk away, through main shopping streets, or can be easily reached by metro or bus.

Rome's main railway station, Termini, is only a few metro stops away (a ten-minute journey).

The Sabina-Fiumicino regional railway line (FR1) provides a direct connection to Fiumicino Airport and stops at Tuscolana railway station, about two hundred metres from the apartment.

About Us

We are a family:
a software engineer and a physics teacher, with two great children, nine and eleven years old.

We all love to travel.
We have had two flat exchanges in the last two years, one in Paris and one in London. Both have been great experiences, and we are looking forward to our third exchange.

More about us

We will exchange the apartment where we live, so we prefer a direct exchange.

We would love to visit Spain in Summer 2017, but we are open to any offer.
