House In A Small Village In The Austrian Alps

Our Home

Our house is situated in a wonderful valley named GroàŸarltal, near the Hohe Tauern national park in the heart of Austria.

The surroundings are perfect for relaxing, sports activities (hiking, with a choice of long or short, difficult or easy tracks), climbing, biking, swimming, Alpine and cross country skiing etc), and of course for sightseeing - we are only an hour's drive from the centre of Salzburg, for instance.

Our garden is lovely and quiet, and has several terraces.

Our home has a master bedroom and two children's room, a new, modern bathroom, a huge, shiny kitchen with a big dining area, a cosy living room, an office, a workroom and a balcony.

Our Neighbourhood GolfSkiing

The neighbourhood is very pleasant (with some farmers and their families).

Maria's parents live on the ground floor of our house. Their part of the house is completely separate, and in any case they are often away, in their apartment in Salzburg. However, they would be able to give you some "insider tips" for your holiday.

Nearby there is a cycle path and a bus station.

In GroàŸarl (two kilometres away) you will find everything you need for your daily life, and also a new public swimming pool, a big children's playground, mini-golf, beach volleyball, etc, etc).

There are several hiking trails starting right from our house.

About Us

We are a couple with two children.

Christian is a stove maker, and Maria is the headmaster of a primary school.

Our sons are nine and six years old.

We have a cat called Mansam (she sleeps outside) and a dog called Lille.

We love nature, sports, literature and travelling.
