Ireland / Greystones

Our Home

Bright and spacious modern apartment (132 sqm) with 4 good sized bedrooms and a living area with a large south facing terrace.
The large living area is particularly attractive with a wooden floor, feature fireplace, 2 balcony areas and a terrace accessed via double patio doors providing a pleasant sunny place to relax and socialise.

More about this property

There is also a fully fitted separate kitchen. The 4 bedrooms all have double beds & fitted wardrobes. One of them is ensuite and there is also a family bathroom and a further WC.

Our Neighbourhood Beach

Scenic beauty, rural and coastal, would be its most outstanding feature. It is situated in a stunning location between the coast and the Wicklow mountains with easy access to the local beaches and the countryside. It is a typical seaside town with the usual promenade and harbour. It is small with a population of 12,000.

More about the neighbourhood

Everything is within walking distance and it has a good selection of restaurants, cafes and bookshops in addition to large supermarkets. This is the place for you if you are looking for an antidote to the hustle and bustle of big city life yet also want to be within easy reach of the capital Dublin where there are art galleries, museums, theatres, markets etc. Greystones has excellent transport links with Dublin Bus, the Aircoach and DART systems all nearby. There are plenty of sport and leisure clubs including sailing, football, rugby, tennis and 3 golf courses. Swimming is also available either in the sea or the Shoreline swimming pool.

About Us

My husband David and I are both newly retired secondary school teachers of History on the one hand and French and Spanish on the other.

We spent many years building our careers and raising our two children in the UK (on the Isle of Man to be precise) before catching the 'international teaching bug' about seven years ago.

More about us

Since then we have done teaching stints in Paris, Abu Dhabi and finally Sri Lanka - we are now retired and back in Ireland.
