Cornish Cottage

Our Home

Our house overlooks the River Tamar, the border between Devon and Cornwall, and is located on the Cornwall side, close to the Brunel bridge.

The nearest city is Plymouth in Devon.

Our home is a renovated Cornish cottage from the 1820s.

It is quite comfortable, warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

More about this property

The living room has an open fireplace, and there are plenty of logs in the wood store.

We also have a study, and an artist studio.

Our large garden is quite private and sunny, and we have sun loungers and garden furniture.

Our Neighbourhood

Saltash is a small town with a variety of shops, supermarkets and pubs.

The countryside is on our doorstep, with Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor half an hour's drive away.

There is a golf course literally around the corner.

More about the neighbourhood

The seaside is also half an hour's drive away for the south coast with its lovely little beaches, and an hour's drive away for the north coast, which is good for surfing.

Cornwall and Devon are very touristic counties, with a lot of picturesque fishing ports and villages.

About Us

Anywhere not too far for short breaks.

We are Art and French teachers, with two adult children who may wish to join us.

We have two friendly cats who would require feeding.

We enjoy walking, reading, gardening and travelling.

Bob likes to paint in his spare time and has a studio in the annexe.

More about us

Elisabeth likes to cook, so the kitchen is well equipped, as is the utility room.
