Older 2-bedroom house on level, sandy, ocean-front beach 125 km north-west of Vancouver. Available Oct- June. Hiking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing and cross-country skiing. Satellite TV, wireless internet.

It is a cosy place for a winter retreat for writers or artists or for restful recuperation.

Spring & fall are lovely for outdoor pursuits.

It has electric heating, but we try to use the wood stove as much as possible.

There are extensive hiking and cross-country ski trails nearby. We are 10 km from the start of Powell River canoe route.

There are indoor sports facilities available in Powell River (15 km) and a golf course (10 km).

There is a public park with a tennis court down the beach.

The bus to town and a small corner store are one kilometre away.

The view is down Malaspina Inlet and across to Texada Island.

We harvest clams, oysters, prawns and crabs in our own bay.

We share our neighbourhood with eagles, sea lions and seals and we are on a major north/south migratory route for birds.


About Us

We are retired and spend most of the "gardening months" up the coast, growing our own vegies and harvesting seafood. We also have a garden apartment in Vancouver. We love to travel in the spring, fall and winter. We have traveled extensively in Mexico.

More about us

We are interested in spending time in southern Ontario, Quebec, Chicago, New York, Scotland, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Eastern Europe. We don't mind visiting great cities in the winter, but prefer fall and spring for touring countrysides.
