Seaside Village House With Garden

Our Home

We live in a lovely townhouse with nice garden in a quiet seaside village.

We have three bedrooms, two double and one single, with a kitchen/ diner, pantry, living room. Our garden gets the sun all day, and we have a nice sheltered patio with furniture where you can relax in the evening.

We are close to the sea, forest, sailing, golf, horseriding, shopping, zoo, Cork city, restaurants, museums etc. It's a great location to base yourself to discover Cork and Kerry.

It's just 15 minutes drive to the airport, and literally walking distance to the Brittany ferriy. Train station around 20 minutes drive.

Our Neighbourhood GolfBeach

Seaside:
5 minutes walk to the edge of Cork Harbour.
We are also close to lovely beaches with activities like kayaking, windsurfing, sailing etc. Many to choose from, e.g. Fountainstown, Garrettstown, Roberts Cove etc.

There is a forest nearby, just 10 minutes drive, for lovely walks and amazing views of Cork Harbour and Crosshaven.

The oldest sailing club in the world, the Royal Cork Yacht Club in Crosshaven is around 20 minutes away. Monkstown is just across the bay, less than 10 minutes drive, and also a great spot for walking, fishing, dining out. Kinsale, the gourmet capital of Ireland, and Ireland's oldest town, is only 25 minutes drive.

There are 3 golf clubs on our doorstep - Monkstown, Raffeen Creek and Fernhill. Douglas is only 15 minutes away. The famous Old Head of Kinsale is around 30 minutes, and same for Water Rock in Midleton.

You can see Cobh and the cathedral from our house, and it's around 15 minutes on the cross river ferry to enjoy the Titanic Centenary events. www.titanic100.ie

You could easily take the Cork-Roscoff ferry as foot passengers, as the ferry is literally five minutes' walk from the house, and a car is available for your use if desired.

About Us

I am a single mum with one son, aged 13. I work as a Technology Professional in the pharmaceutical industry.
My son loves football and the irish sports hurling and gaelic football. I love interiors and art.
We have a cat who would keep you company during our swap, but our nice neighbours will feed him if you don't want to.
