Our Home
Our house is three minutes' walk from the marina in Vannes, at the southern end of Morbihan and Brittany.
There is a beach ten minutes away by bike, or five minutes away by car.
It's a nice old house in the centre of town.
Very close to the historic medieval town centre, to the fresh organic food market, to shops and all amenities.
The house has a delightful garden, fenced in with an old stone wall.
There are four bedrooms on two floors (sleeping a total of seven, with three large double beds and one single bed), a living room, an office, a garage, and a nice kitchen overlooking the garden.
Not overlooked.
WiFi.
There are four adult-size bikes, and child-size bikes could also be arranged if required.
Our Neighbourhood
The neighbourhood is very quiet and very close to the town centre, as well as to the small beach at Conleau, which is just a few minutes away, by car, bus or bicycle.
Vannes is also close to the beaches of the Gulf of Morbihan (10 km), the Bay of Carnac and its megaliths (30 km), the Quiberon peninsula (40 km), the islands of Houat, Hoà«dic and Belle àŽle, and all the tourist sites on the coast or in the inland (Port Saint-Goustan or Rochefort-en-Terre for example).
In the summer there are also lots of special events (the Breton Festival in Arvor on August 15th, the Inter-Celtic Festival in Lorient, etc), and lots of things to do and see, (a boat trip to the islands in the Gulf of Morbihan, for instance, is an absolute must!) - and then there are of course plenty of opportunities for swimming, sailing, walking, etc.
About Us
We are a family of five.
Dominique, 52, is an architect, and Maeva, 52, is a former teacher (who has been working with Dominique for the last three years).
Lola was born July 7, 1990, Victor was born February 28, 1990 and Julia was born June 23, 1986.
We have been doing home exchanges every summer for thirteen years!
Our two oldest children don't normally travel with us, but if the size of the house allows it we would love to welcome our cousins and their two daughters aged 7 and 15 for a few days, so for that we would need to seven sleeping places if at all possible. If not, there would just be the three of us!
