Set in 3000 m2 of pretty gardens and terraces, with views overlooking fields and valley, Le Marronnier
offers luxury accommodation, sleeping six, and with private indoor heated pool and sauna.
Recently renovated to a very high standard, this beautifully restored farmhouse is a diverse mix of
traditional stonework with contemporary ideas, providing a spacious, light and airy, open-plan
relaxing holiday experience.
The accommodation comprises four double bedrooms, whereof three with en-suite facilities, a lounge
with UK satellite TV and HiFi DVD, a spacious kitchen/dining room, a heated indoor swimming pool, and
an infra-red sauna.
Our Neighbourhood
Situated between the great French rivers of Dordogne and Lot, Ferouailles is the perfect base for
cultural and gastronomic expeditions, located deep in the heart of the ancient region of
Aquitaine/Perigord.
Medieval Bastide towns, prehistoric sites, picturesque chateaux, excellent restaurants for the famous Perigord cuisine, and the Bordeaux, Bergerac and Cahors wine trails are
all there to be explored.
About Us
We are Bill and Gill, semi-retired and well-behaved children of the sixties. Bill is an advertising
photographer, and Gill was previously a photographic stylist but is currently an organiser of gîtes holidays.
We are looking to do more travelling while the body is still working sufficiently well.
We first came to live in France in 1980 with the kids, stayed for five years, and then returned to the UK for business reasons until 1997, when we returned to the same area in France.
We have two children and three grandchildren. Our daughter
lives nearby, and our son commutes between Paris and Montpellier in the course of his work.
We have always been interested in
travelling and experiencing different cultures. With proper knowledge and tolerance of other people's cultures and religions, wouldn't the world be a better place!
