Ireland / Murroe
Our home is large, comfortable, clean, and spacious. It has a large kitchen with adjoining dining room and kitchen utility. We have two lounges with TV, one playroom, and one small bathroom downstairs. Upstairs we have four bedrooms and one bathroom. Outside, the deck overlooks a large green play area that is well maintained.
It has a swing, slide and climbing frame for children. There are also many toys for boys and girls aged from 3 to 10.
Our home is located near the village of Murroe, Co. Limerick, and is about 12 miles from Limerick city.
Limerick is a thriving city.

Murroe village is a nice peaceful area which is near Glenstal Abbey.
Glenstal Abbey offers beautiful walks near lakes and wooded area. The famous Glenstal Abbey is open all year round to visit. There are also mountains located near the village, and a pitch and putt (mini-golf) course. There is a church, shops and pubs in the locality. We are a good base for visiting Clare, Tipperary, Kerry and Cork. We live near the Clare Glens, which form the boundary between Co. Tipperary and Co. Limerick. The Glens, through which the Clare River flows, is a gorge, which provides excellent walks and scenic views from all sides. There are many waterfalls. The Glens are heavily wooded, and a nature trail has been mapped in a looped course. A beautiful river close to the house offers fishing amenities nearby.
We live approximately 10 kilometres from the University of Limerick, and approximately 15 kilometres from the beautiful town of Killaloe, located on Lough Derg, where you can benefit from boating, jetskiing and other lake activities.
We are Pat and Marie, a married couple with two daughters, Anna (9) and Kate (6), and one son (8). I am self-employed, and my wife works in the health service. We have not done a home exchange before but are keen to try what sounds a great way to see another country.
We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first, to see how best we can facilitate their stay in Ireland. We would ideally like to swap for three weeks sometime in June/July or August, but will consider all offers.
