Upper Harbourside Apartment
Our Home
Our apartment is a three-bedroom ground-floor apartment of 131 m2 plus 57 m2 of garden terrace, located in Breakfast Point, Sydney. This is an award-winning development on the upper reaches of Sydney harbour.
The complex includes a Country Club to which you would have full access, with a fully-equipped aerobic and weights gym, a library, a 25 m heated swimming pool, a sauna, a spa, and tennis courts. Regular social functions are held at the country club, which has a bar and facilities for simple meals. There is a cricket oval and a small shopping centre, which includes three restaurants and an IGA supermarket and liquor store within the development.
Our Neighbourhood
It is a 20-minute drive to the Sydney city centre, or a five-minute walk to Cabarita Park, which brings you to the ferry wharf. The ferry takes 35 minutes to Circular Quay, the main ferry junction in central Sydney, a beautifully scenic trip through Sydney upper harbour. There is also a good local shopping strip and restaurant area.
This includes Italian, Lebanese, Thai, Asian noodles, and Seafood/Steak restaurants, a Coles supermarket, and numerous coffee shops. A golf course that is open to the public is situated at Concord, and the area is idea for walking or cycling. Two of Sydney's famous Italian ethnic areas are close by, at Haberfield and Leichardt. The Olympic Stadium complex is only 15 minutes away by car, and the International Airport 35 minutes, traffic depending. We are very close to the geographic centre of Sydney, and there is easy access to motorways going to the Blue Mountains, Canberra, and the wine regions in the Hunter Valley.
About Us
We are Janet and Geoff, both retired, in our sixties. Janet was a horticulturalist, and Geoff a software developer. We are both non-smokers, and as Janet is a meticulous housekeeper, you may be sure we will look after your home as if it were our own. We are cat lovers, but plan to arrange for our cats to be elsewhere, unless you also love cats.
Sydney enjoys a temperate climate with a mild winter, and has more than 340 sunny days a year.
