Three-storey terraced cottage in a calm and peaceful estate. On the ground floor: Living room , American kitchen, toilet, laundry room, and garage. On the first floor: Martin's bedroom, Lucas' bedroom, a small office with sofa bed bathroom with bathtub and toilet. On the second floor: Our room (160 cm bed), bathroom with shower and toilet.

Our Neighbourhood

The house is located in a village of 3,500 inhabitants, 10 km (15 minutes) southwest of Caen, and 20 km from the sea.

Caen is in the centre of Normandy, so our house is ideally located for exploring the area, going on excursions - and then stopping at a beach on the way back.

More about the neighbourhood

There are many historic towns and other sites of various kinds: the Battle of Normandy memorial museum, the landing beaches, and, going back to William the Conqueror, the abbeys of Caen, the Bayeux tapestry, the castle of Falaise castle, etc. And there is Rouen (100 km) and the coast, with Deauville, Cabourg, Honfleur, and, a little further away, Mont-Saint-Michel (100 km), and Etretat (120 km), with its sandy beaches and many sailing schools. And it's hiking country too, with Pays d'Auge and Suisse Normande.

And there is no lack of local services, in fact there are plenty: shops, supermarket, doctors, pharmacy, etc.

About Us

We are a family of four, with two boys aged 11 and 14. We both work in the state education system, as a social worker and as a school psychologist.
