Morley House and Cottage is an 1730s English Heritage Grade 2 period listed property. For the last 5 years the house has been sympathetically and extensively restored, exposing period features such as stone floors, open fireplaces, wood-burning stove, and oak panelling. The renovation project included complete re-wiring and re-plumbing.

There are 3 en-suite bathrooms which have been individually designed, along with a downstairs "walk-in" wet room.

Centrally placed is a large family kitchen with an "Aga", and an extended breakfast room with "snug room" above.
There are 3 large double bedrooms on the first floor – two have en-suite bathrooms (the other bedroom is currently used as an office).

At the top of the house are two attic bedrooms, with landing and bathroom.

Outside, at the front of the house, there is a large lawn with flowered borders and a stone pathway, leading to the front porch.

At the back, with access from the kitchen, is a large, totally private courtyard, where you can enjoy sitting outside.

Our Neighbourhood

Lechlade is a market town along the River Thames. The town has a great variety to offer: library, bank and chemist (all right next-door!)
There is also a selection of restaurants: Chinese, Indian, Colley's Supper Room, and a fish 'n' chip take-away.

There are 3 lively classic English local pubs, a coffee shop, and a several antique shops.

The neighbouring local towns are Burford (15 min drive) Fairford (10 min drive) and Cirencester (20 min drive.)

The nearest cities are Oxford (20 min drive) and Cheltenham (30 min drive).

Heathrow airport is 1¼ hour's drive away. There is a frequent coach and train service into London from Oxford.

Surrounding Lechlade lies the beautiful and peaceful Cotswold countryside with its renowned walks.

About Us

We wish to travel to Los Angeles, or surrounding area, in late March 2009 for 3 weeks family holiday. This will be Rob's 50th birthday present!
Rob is a Managing Director for an aviation services corporation, and Rachel has her own interior design company which is based at home.

More about us

We have 2 children, Chloe and Freddie, who will be 9 years and 7 years in 2009.

We are all very excited at the prospect of visiting the USA, hoping that this will be a holiday of a lifetime!

At the moment we have no pets, as the house has just been renovated with new paintwork and home interiors!
