Our Home
Cottage style house with wooden floors and open fireplace and delightful cottage garden. Quiet situation though it is a semi-detached house. Minutes from main road, and easy access into cosmopolitan city of Brighton (8 minutes' drive away). Nice small town centre of Shoreham is a five minutes' drive away.
You can get to a beach in 15 minutes walking and Shoreham (Island) Beach, which is a nicer quiet pebble breach and also a nature reserve because of the strange plants and flowers that grow through the pebbles, is a five minute drive away. Two bedrooms, large main bedroom and smaller bedroom, my son's bedroom, so lots of lego for you to use.
Our Neighbourhood
Shoreham by Sea is a pleasant, interesting town, situated on the south coast of Britain. It is just west and 10 minute drive from Brighton and Hove where there is a lively, large, eclectic mix of people and culture, including numerous galleries, shops, theatres, clubs etc, many pubs.
Worthing town is 10 minutes in the opposite direction, it's a more traditional town with lots of shops. You can take a bus from the house to Brighton and Worthing, it takes about 20 minutes. Shoreham town is smaller. There is an artists' community here and an Arts Centre. Eccentric houseboats moor along the river Adur, which has lovely walks, and you can walk along the river up into the South Downs, which is the range of hills that runs along the south-east of England. Lots of pubs and restaurants in Shoreham, and normally some sort of arts activity, including its own town festival.
The house is situated in a friendly suburban area. A large supermarket is literally 5 minutes walk away, as is a large Marks and Spencer if you need to shop!
About Us
I am a writer and director of drama, and work a lot with community groups with drama. My son is lovely, and he currently likes Raiders of the Lost Ark more than Star Wars. He goes to a Steiner School, and is considerate.
I am looking for exchanges for me and my partner and son, and also on occasions I am looking just for myself, for a quiet place I can go to write. I currently have a screenplay to write for September.
