Salt Spring Island (population 10,000) is the largest of the Southern Gulf Islands.

Easy going lifestyles, rich cultural scene and natural beauty have made it a top tourism and retirement destination.

We are a short walk from a clean shell beach, perfect for a picnic.

The village of Ganges offers shopping, restaurants, art galleries, music and theatre venues.

You can also enjoy hiking, sailing, kayaking, golf, a fitness centre, an indoor swimming pool and wineries.

We have a regular ferry service to Victoria and Vancouver.


Our Neighbourhood

It is a six-minute walk to our midden beach (half shell and half sand).

There are many deer in the area (pesty, because they like to eat flowers).

The village of Ganges is five miles away: a nice walk on a paved road with forest all around.

Our island is approximately twenty miles long by eight miles wide.

About Us

Mike is a retired RCMP policeman and now skippers a fifty-passenger vessel four days a week with summers off.

Anne is a retired nurse and now a full time potter high fire reduction potter.

We love to travel, sail (our thirty-foot sail boat is available to qualified persons), enjoy good wine, visit art galleries, study military history, and generally explore wherever we happen to be.
