Our neighborhood is a lovely area called the "Mouzaia" located in the 19th district near the 19th-century romantic Buttes-Chaumont park. The dwellings are ivy-covered cottage size houses whose gardens open onto cobblestone alleyways - the charm of the country in an urban venue.
The neighborhood is mixed and trendy not far from La Villette and the Chinese and artistic quarters of Belleville and Canal St Martin :
There is no need for a car as everything is accessible by foot in our neighborhood :
Stroll to the outdoor farmer's market on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday mornings to buy fresh local French products : fruit, vegetables, herbs, cheese, roasted chicken take it for a picnic in the huge park down the street - discover our wonderful bakeries, cafes, restaurants and shops - have fun shopping in the French supermarket “Monoprix†just down the street open until 9pm - take a hike to the wonderful La Villette or the subway anywhere in Paris. There is also a lovely sauna nearby if you need to relax or have a massage after walking through the Louvre or Versailles all day.
In the summer, the Seine turns into a beach and it's lots of fun. There is free music, outdoor movies, and many other outdoor cultural events. Click on the below website to see details :
We are a Franco-American family comprised of 2 adults and 2 children :
I am an American visual artist living in Paris, my husband is a designer for a multi national company, we have a 14 year old son who loves soccer and guitar and a 10 year old daughter talented in theater.
We are a bilingual family who love traveling and discovering new places.
Our family is filled with enthusiasm at each opportunity to share and exchange cultures with others. We also like the Eco-friendly aspect and prefer the home exchange experience over staying in a hotel - living like a local !
