United Kingdom / East Anglia / Bury St Edmunds
Modern village house
Our home is a modern house that sleeps six and has three bathrooms. We are in a small village in the middle of the Suffolk countryside. Cambridge is 25 miles away; the coast is just over an hour. London is two hours by car or train.
Our small village has a population of just 200, the nearest towns are Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket.
Bury St Edmunds is a medieval town with many ancient buildings and a history dating back over 1,000 years.
It has many attractions for any interested in History as well as a good selection of restaurants and cinemas, as well as the smallest pub in the world and the smallest theatre in the UK. Newmarket is the world centre of the horse racing industry and has two race courses. Cambridge needs little introduction, it is an extremely beautiful city with a wide range of things to see and do
We are a family of three, Simon is an executive in the food industry, Jill is a publisher and Joscelin is a student. We are a highly experienced family of house swappers having exchanged on numerous occasions on the East and in 2007 the West coast of The USA.
