Our Home

We are located in Ticino which is in the italian speaking canton in southern Switzerland.

Suprisingly to most the climate is sub tropical and palm trees abound.

Our home is nestled in the forest at an altitude of 700 meters and offers spectacular views of the lake of Como and the Swiss alps (yes you can even see the Matterhorn from our huge balcony.)

our 3 bedroom home is on a property of 1000 square meters and is surrounded by protected woodland and
paths through the forest that lead to further spectacular views.

Have a refreshing swim
in the 8x3 meter pool which is located on the property.


Our Neighbourhood

Our home is on the outskirts of the tiny town of Sagno (population 300) which has a small convenience store a restaurant and a cafè /bar. Despite the serene surroundings Sagno is only a ten minute drive to the highway and a shopping center.

More about the neighbourhood

We are surrounded by three lakes (Como, Lugano and Maggiore)each of which is dotted by quaint towns and villages.

From here you can visit spectacular Lugano (20 minutes, incredibly beautiful Bellagio on the lake of Como (20 minutes), hike or take cable cars to unforgettable mountain views and visit Milano (50 minutes) Luzern (1.5 hours) Zurich (2.5 hours). Actually the list is endless!


About Us

We are transplanted Canadians who have been living in Switzerland for 13 years and we have an 8 year old child. We grew up canoeing and camping in Canada and would like to exchange for a cottage in the Georgian Bay Muskoka area.
