Master bedroom has a large ensuite. The two downstairs bedrooms share a full bath. There is a dining and living room with panoramic views. The den/TV/office has two computers on high speed hook up. In the rec room is a large screen HDTV as well as a bar, fooze ball and air hockey. Relax on the patio and watch eagles, rabbits, bunnies. Enjoy the sunset (or sunrise if you are an early riser) from the very private hot tub. Walk in the back yard and marvel at the old growth trees.
Lantzville is a small (7500) rural community that is 5 minutes from the city of Nanaimo (76 000). The village of Lantzville has one of everything - market, pub, garage, medical clinic, hardware, PO, etc. Nanaimo "the Harbour City" is centrally located on Vancouver Island.
Enjoy the waterfront walkway, the Friday Farmer's Market, the theatre, shopping malls, boutique shopping in historic downtown Nanaimo, numerous restaurants and art galleries. It is an short ferry ride from Vancouver, and hour and a half drive from Victoria (the provincial capital), an hour from Mt Washington Ski Resort, a ferry ride from numerous Gulf Islands each with its own charm and artist studios. There are many small island towns - Parksvile, Qualicum, Chemainus, Duncan - which are easy day trips. There are wineries, parks, hiking, biking, kayaking, boating activities galore. Fabulous Long Beach and Tofino on the West Coast of the Island are a 2.5 hours away.
We, Lynne and Norm, are an active retired couple (teacher and papermaker). Norm is interested in fishing and building hot rods. Norm's pride and joy is his 1931 Model A (which he has had longer than Lynne) and he is currently building a 48 Ford Pickup. Lynne enjoys all the home arts, reading, shopping, art, theatre, travel.
We have one son who lives in another town and neighbours who would be helpful.
