United States / California / San Francisco Bay Area
Lovely, private, sunny, garden cottage 20 minutes away from San Francisco by car. It is nestled in a redwood forest in a park-like setting (yet sunny)backing up to Mt. Tamalpais with hiking and biking trails literally at your doorstep. The hiking and biking trails go all the way to the Pacific Ocean.
This is an empty guest cottage located on my property, and because of this it increases the flexibility of our travel schedule. The home is small (about 500 square feet) and has a fully equipped kitchen, cable tv, washer/dryer, workstation desk, telephone for local calls, it's own driveway and a private porch. A copier and fax machine can be provided as well.
Larkspur is located in Marin County at the foot of Mt. Tamalpais a short distance across the Golden Gate Bridge. Our location offers the amenities of being able to easily access San Francisco (either by driving or taking a ferry ). You can also walk into town for a coffee at Cafe Rulli (http://www.rulli.com/caffes/larkspur/index.
shtml) or explore the city, coastline, Sausalito, Muir Woods, Wine Country (Sonoma and Napa) and Mill Valley.
A lovely respite from the bustle of the city, yet within minutes to San Francisco.
We are a professional couple (Veronica and Geoff). I am a painter, writer and designer. My boyfriend Geoff is an attorney. We are both in our 50's and have grown children. We have a dog "Little Ricky" a Basset Fauve de Bretagne who is extremely friendly and an african gray parrot named "Sibonney." Both of these pets live in the big house.
The guest house/cottage is located on our property and is empty (except for guests, family and other exchanges), so our times are flexible. We are both avid hikers, bikers, swimmers and all-around world explorers. We would love to explore parts of Asia, Bhutan, Morroco, Europe, Sardinia, the Caribbean islands -- you name it -- we're game.
