Our large three bedroomed house is on a flat,child friendly section. We are walking distance from beaches, cafes/restaurants, art galleries, schools, cinema & the picturesque Wellington south coast.
Our sunny two storey house also has a separate kitchen, two living areas, separate wash house, 2 wcs, 1 bathroom, and an office.
There are two large double bedrooms upstairs and 1 single bedroom downstairs. The house wired for high speed internet, and digital (sky) TV. The house is very warm with gas central heating. French doors provide direct access from the living areas to to outdoor living areas. An outdoor eating and BBQ area, a playhouse, and a sand pit means that the section is ideal for entertaining adults and children entertaining.
Island Bay is a popular, family oriented suburb which is well supplied by public transport, a supermarket, a bakery, a library and convenience shops.
Wellington is a beautiful, vibrant and compact city. It is the entertainment capital of NZ with a wide range of drama, theatre and sporting venues, cafes, restaurants and bars.
It is a short 1 hour car trip away from the popular Martinborough vineyards, or a ferry trip away from the spectacular Marlborough Sounds.
The closest ski fields are 3 hours drive north.
John is a town planner and Fiona is a project manager working mainly with local government. We set up our own consultancy in March 2006 and work from home. Our consultancy is proving to be very successful.
We wonder why we didn't do it earlier!
We enjoy being able to spend more time with our three children - Reuben (6), Seth(5) and Holly (2).
Both Reuben and Seth are at local schools and Holly is attending a Montesorri School three afternoons a week. We have a nanny to help us during the week.
