Australia / Western Australia / Perth
We live in a lovely character cottage (circa 1940's)with ornate ceilings & jarrah floorboards throughout. Our home is very child friendly has a lovely garden & outdoor area with entertaining and play equipment. The house has 3 bedrooms 2 of which are double - so it can comfortably sleep 5 people.
We have cots and all other necessary baby equipment and a car with child restraints.
We are very close to Perth City Centre (10k)and the Swan Valley - home to some of Australia's most prominent wineries. We are within walking distance to the train and bus stations. Bassendean is situated on the Swan River and sits on the Midland / Fremantle train line.
Bassendean and neighbouring Guildford are among the earliest settlements in the beautiful state of Western Australia. If you have the time while in WA, it's also worth exploring parts of the south-west, including Margaret River - another region known for its great wines.
We are a family of four. Our children Angus & Millie are 2 years & 7 months respectively. We are in our late thirties and will be travelling for some of our journey with Nikki's Mum and her Aunt. Nikki is a journalist/producer with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and I work in the private health insurance industry.
