12 St Alkmunds Square
Georgian 4-bedroomed, terraced house, on three floors, more than 200 years old. Located in a beautiful square in the medieval centre of Shrewsbury, almost surrounded by a loop of the River Severn, the longest river in England. The square is a conservation area and car-free.
The house is Grade 2 listed, which means it's original features are conserved by law.
All amenities within very easy walking distance: shops, banks, pubs, restaurants, swimming pool, theatre and cinemas. Excellent road networks; 3 miles from national motorway connections. National Bus and train services within 5 minutes walk.
Shrewsbury is a historic town at the heart of one of the most beautiful and unspoilt rural counties in the UK, just a few miles from the Welsh border and 50 miles from Birmingham.
The countryside offers a range of activities: walking, riding, golf, gliding, natural history, fishing.
We both retired in October 2012 and we are looking forward to travelling and exchanging homes.
We are keen walkers and love the theatre and cinema.
