Our Home

Our home is a large 3/4 bedroom modern house on a 4 ha site in a rural area of Vancouver Island. The site overlooks a small valley and a farming community. The house was built in 2000 and has modern appliances within a "rural" architeture. It includes two fireplaces and a large cedar veranda overlooking a spacious lawn and garden.

More about this property

The house was built by myself using local trees such as cedar and maple.

In the basement, there is a large recreation and excercise room with TV and pool table. On the main floor, a spacious family room (TV and computer)is opens to the kitchen. In contrast, the living room is small and intimate with extensive wood finishing. The upstairs has 3 large bedrooms and one study.

Our Neighbourhood BeachGolfSkiing

The area is rural - consisting of mostly small farms and woodlots. On one side of the house lies a small mountain with many hiking trails and great views of the ocean. About 1 km on the other side lies the ocean itself with and a marina (Maple Bay).

The town of Duncan (about 5 km) is where we do our shopping.
