5 acres that include a small orchard & vineyard with plenty of room to stroll about! Built in 1986 as a retirement home, the main level includes 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a media room, kitchen, and a large living room open to a large dining room. The lower level has a separate apartment with it's own kitchen, bath, and private bedroom. It's a great house for entertaining. with a dining table that seats 12. In all, there are 3 Queen beds, 1 fold-out couch, a futon bed, and 2 very comfortable couches! We will consider including a car and allowing pets.

Our Neighbourhood

Our home is in the Appalachian Mountains of western North Carolina. The famous Blue Ridge Parkway is a 35 minute drive. Downtown Asheville is 20 minutes away and features an abundance of restaurants, pubs, music venues, theatres, and shops.

Asheville is a major tourist destination and home to the Vanderbilt Mansion, the largest privately owned home in the USA (http://www.biltmore.com). The area attracts retirees, musicians, artists, and outdoor enthusiasts. One of the best mountain biking locations in the country, Bent Creek, is located just west of Asheville. Other activities include water sports, camping, hiking, horseback riding, and skiing.
