Villa In The Countryside With Swimming Pool
The sunrise will entice you out of our huge master bed in the morning, and you will enjoy the large (35 x 17 ft) heated pool and 1042F Jacuzzi hot tub before lounging on the patio for breakfast.
There are three other bedrooms, two with king size beds and one with a queen size bed; two bathrooms; large living areas; WiFi; and two Honda 8 seater minivans available to explore the Space Coast with the white warm sands of Playalinda Beach nearby.
Disneyworld is sixty minutes away, and the Kennedy Space Centre is twenty minutes away.
Floridian wildlife may surprise you: one can see dolphins and manatees locally.
There is world class fishing, and the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge is nearby.
And the climate is sub-tropical, so air conditioning is provided in house and cars.
However where we live is not as hot as inland Orlando. To quote from a book written by a visitor: "Heat and humidity in Florida in August is a myth"
In this part of Florida, where NASA was sited partly because of good weather.
we solar heat water and have only have to put electricity on occasionally. We solar vent the roof to reduce the heat in house, and we have well water for garden and pool, which is also solar heated.
NASA for a fascinating day out; Playalinda Beach-for sunbathing, surfing, swimming; Merritt Island Wildlife Reserve-alligators, eagles, dolphins, manatees, pelicans, etc.
The Orlando theme parks: Seaworld is very good; Discovery Cove and Swimming with Dolphins are excellent.
An hour and a half north of us, with easy driving, is historic St. Augustine, five hundred years old, the oldest city in North America, which is very attractive and interesting; and nearby is a magnificent shopping discount mall where the pound goes a long way.
Unique Floridian airboat rides are nearby, and so is kayaking with manatees.
Angela and I have retired from teaching and moved to Florida, where the sun shines every day, costs are low, and the locals friendly.
We live on the east coast, where there are no traffic jams and plenty of space.
We have visitors from England on average every month, and they are always surprised how nice it is, having been brought up by the BBC to hate America.
However, we still watch BBC News, as it is so professional, even if biased.
We have travelled extensively. We have five children and eight grandchildren whom we like to meet, so our exchange offer is targeted on England.
We have just completed our fourteenth swap. We go on journeys so that the house can be offered for non-simultaneous exchange while we are away.
Finally, we do not wish to stay in houses which have cats, please!
