San Diego Area Home

Our Home

We have an attached townhouse with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths: The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a full bathroom ensuite. The 2nd bedroom also has a queen size bed and access to the other full bathroom. A third bedroom is set up as an office/library, but could accomodate a twin bed if necessary.

More about this property

The master bedroom window faces west, with a view of the Pacific Ocean, and has a private deck. There is a very pretty covered patio, and a backyard with an outdoor fireplace. Our home faces west, and has cool ocean breezes all day long.

There is a full kitchen with dishwasher & microwave, washer/dryer, outdoor gas BBQ, a sunny living room with a fireplace, a 30 inch TV (with cable and DVD player), Play Station 2, hi-fi stereo, and a computer with high speed internet access; everything one needs for to enjoy life in Southern California!

Our Neighbourhood BeachGolf

Cardiff by the Sea is a small beach community in coastal northern San Diego county. Ours is a quiet neighborhood, 1 1/2 miles from several beautiful public beaches. Cardiff is an eclectic community of surfers, upscale homes, and unique attitudes.

More about the neighbourhood

There are a variety of interesting restaurants nearby, an excellent public library, and lots of opportunities for shopping. There are several excellent public golf courses in the area, including the famous Torrey Pines golf course, home of the U.S. Open in 2008! The La Costa Resort and Spa (golf & tennis) is ten minutes from our front door.

Our summers are very pleasant: the temperature usually ranges from 70-75F (21-24C), and it almost never rains. We are 20 miles from the exciting heart of San Diego; commuter trains run downtown in the morning and back home in the afternoon/evenings. Balboa Park, near downtown, is packed with excellent museums, galleries, and restaurants.

It is a short drive to the world-famous San Diego Zoo, the San Diego Wild Animal Park, SeaWorld, Legoland, and other atttractions. Boating is available at both Mission Bay and San Diego harbor. The Del Mar racetrack (horses) is 5 minutes to the south: race season usually opens in mid-July and runs through mid-September. Disneyland is one hour north, Los Angeles/Hollywood/Beverly Hills are 2 hours north, and Mexico (Tijuana) is 45 minutes south.
